The term "vehicle restraint systems" refers to a variety of different types of hives which, according to EVS-EN 1317, are as follows:

* Collision Guards;
Terminals
Transitions
* Colliding.

Vehicle restraint systems must, as far as possible, reduce the consequences of accidents and are intended to:

* Protect adjacent persons and areas in need of protection;
* For the protection of counterdirectional traffic between two carriways on the road;
* To protect passengers and the driver from the driveway of the vehicle, crash
Dangerous obstacle next to the roadway.

Vehicle restraint systems must minimise the consequences of potential accidents as far as possible and are intended to:

* Protect adjacent persons and areas in need of protection;

* For the protection of counterdirectional traffic between two carriways on the road;

* For the protection of passengers and the driver, for example, from the road of the vehicle, at the crash of the facility, collision with a dangerous obstacle alongside the roadway, etc.

Vehicle restraint systems are characterized by their strength (containment level) and deflection (normalised working width). In addition to these parameters, the impact of partitions on the person in the event of impact is assessed.
